I’m surprised this South Park episode mentioning water bottle label cheating was made aware this many years later, when I was informed all water bottles were to have their labels removed. Mercedes cheated with the McLaren F1 to develop the CLK GTR.

Mercedes bought a McLaren F1 LM (or whatever it was called, the race version) and fitted it with Mercedes body panels/kit so they could perfect all the aero stuff before the rest of the CLK GTR was developed

Wouldn’t really call that cheating..... They only really ran it once and the cooling shit itself and was crashed. Obviously they didn’t do too much to the car, as it was refitted with the McLaren F1 body and engine and sold years later.
